Spa water
The thermal springs of Comano are unique in Europe for skin treatments, and are specifically recommended for a number of dermatological disorders. They are rich in bicarbonate, calcium and magnesium and flow at a constant temperature of 27°C (the highest in Italy), even inside the Grand Hotel, where guests can benefit from their therapeutic properties in the comfort of their own bathroom.
SKIN-FRIENDLY
The spa water of Comano springs from the depths of the dolomite rock that forms the Brenta Group, in western Trentino, and is unique in Italy. Given its salt content, this low mineral, hypothermal water is classified as “calcium-magnesic bicarbonate” water; it presents a significant amount of fluorine and low buffer effect. Free from bacteria, with low radioactivity and a pH level close to neutral, this water contains elements fundamental to the cohesion and perfect condition of the epidermis (such as calcium and magnesium ions), which play an active role in skin diseases.
Thanks to its distinctive qualities, the spa water of Comano can be employed for different purposes:
- as a cleansing agent for skin surfaces covered with discharge, scaling and scabs;
- to calm itching;
- to calm inflammation of infiltrates of the skin tissues;
- as a keratoplastic agent to stimulate the regeneration of the corneal layer;
- to repair anomalies of the skin tissue;
- to combat allergens;
- to restore normal skin balance: the bicarbonates work to soothe, decongest and smooth the skin.
